Juggalo Reaches Out for Kidney Donation for his Wife

A Juggalo named Michael Fleming hit us up a few days ago with an extremely serious request. It’s one of the most selfless things that any human being can do for someone else, and that’s to give up a kidney while you’re still alive.

Michael’s wife Sarah Scott has been waiting on a kidney transplant for two years, and time is of the essence.   To give you a little glimpse into Michael and Sarah’s life, they live in Des Moines, Iowa and have been together for 6 years.  She had been going to school to be a social worker before this past kidney failure.

Michael also reached out to a number of other outlets, and Majik Ninja Entertainment actually picked up on it too.  You can read their coverage right here.

From Michael Fleming (Sarah’s husband):

I’m writing you hoping that you can help a juggalo get his plea for help heard. My wife and I are 31 and 32 respectively, and she has been waiting for a kidney transplant for the last 2 years.

In May of 2019, she caught a case of pneumonia that almost killed her. She was in a medically induced coma, intubated and unable to breathe on her own.
After 9 days, she was finally extubated, but unable to move any muscle in her body due to muscle loss from the coma. She began rehabilitation and after just 2 days shy of 2 months in the hospital, she was able to come home. Unfortunately, that event caused her first donor kidney given to her by her brother in 2013 to reject and caused her to go into kidney failure once again. She has been doing hemodialysis 3 hours a day, 3 days a week ever since.

I’m writing you in hopes of reaching someone who would be interested in donating their kidney. Any potential donor can go to mayoclinic.com/livingdonor email livingdonororgantp@mayoclinic.edu or call 888-227-1569

Recipient name and location is required for the donor screening. Her name is Sarah Scott, she is listed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and her birthday is October 2nd. Our health insurance will pay for 100% of the costs for the donation so this would be at no cost to the donor.

If you can do ANYTHING to help, please reach out at the number or links provided above.  Much love to you for even taking the time to read this!
