Bushwick Bill Dead at 52; Violent J releases statement

It is with a heavy heart that I bring you some terrible news.  Rapper and hip-hop legend Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys has succumbed to his battle with pancreatic cancer at 52.  In recent weeks, fans of Bushwick and the Geto Boys were hopeful to see them onstage once again.  Even after the full Geto Boys tour was canceled, Gathering-bound Juggalos were assured that they would still see a performance from the trio at the Soopa Gathering.

Cancer is a motherfucker.  RIP to a pioneer in the industry.

Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse was quick to send out his thoughts and condolences via socials this morning.

You can see J’s thoughts via ICP’s Facebook below:

RIP Bushwick Bill. I can’t even tell you how much your music has meant to me and what being inspired by your music has done for me and my life. I wouldn’t even know where to begin. It’s endless. You will be greatly missed. We’ll rock with you again on the other side my friend. God bless you homie.. VJ

Spin this classic all day in his memory:
