JICYMI: ICP releases New Music Video: “No Type (4 Life)”

Over the weekend, we got a surprise new music video from Violent J (mostly) and Shaggy 2 Dope!  They shot a beautifully edited video showcasing different cities that they’ve traveled, and did a cover song of a track called “No Type,” redubbing it “4 Life.”

Now this just shows you how out of the loop I am from the mainstream.  The track that was covered has over 500 Million views on YouTube, and I can honestly say that I’ve never heard it.  Have you?  Check it out here:

Rae Sremmurd – “No Type”

And now, you can check out ICP’s spin on the track here:

Insane Clown Posse – “4 Life”

Yes, the track came out on April Fool’s Day, but there was no mention of that in the post from ICP’s Facebook:

Insane Clown Posse keeps on beamin and 17in! Once again ICP has dropped some unpredictable flavor that no one saw coming! 1st came the release of last month’s out of the blue video for the remake to Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” re-dubbed “Indestructible”. Today on April 1st, ICP suprised us all again with another unannounced video for a remake that most would never expect to see or hear. If ICP has shown us anything so far this year, it’s that the only thing Juggalos can be curtain is to expect is the unexpected from the Wicked Clowns. This time it’s last summer’s Rae Sermmurd hit “No Type” redone as “4 Life”.

What are your thoughts on the track?
