Rolling Stone Covers ICP’s “Beautiful (Indestructible)” Christina Aguilera Cover

I had a feeling something like this would happen. Although Rolling Stone doesn’t jump on every music video the Insane Clown Posse releases they seemed to jump on their newest music video for “Beautiful (Indestructible)” pretty damned quickly. Could it have anything to do with the fact that it’s a Christina Aguilera cover?

There’s nothing too interesting about the article. They run down the gist of the video, mention that Violent J penned an op-ed about the “killer clown” sightings last year and mention that the Juggalo March on Washington is happening in September.

Hip-hop duo fill video with hammy camera mugging, clown dancing

Insane Clown Posse add their bizarre touch to Christina Aguilera‘s self-love ballad “Beautiful” in a new video for their 2012 track “Beautiful (Indestructible).” Violent J mugs for the camera, speak-singing profane versions of the lyrics (“Deep inside, I get insecure/ From all the pain; shit’s so lame”) over a hip-hop beat. Shaggy 2 Dope jumps in for a rapped verse, occasionally shouting “Fuck off” while a clown dances in the snow.

In October, Violent J penned an op-ed reflecting on the disturbing wave of “killer clown” sightings across the U.S. last year. The vocalist also spoke up on behalf of ICP’s dedicated Juggalo fanbase, noting they’ve been “targeted, profiled and blatantly discriminated on by law enforcement agencies across America” and placed on the FBI’s list of organized gangs.

On September 16th, Insane Clown Posse and Juggles will march on Washington D.C. to protest the gang designation. The group will also stage a free concert for fans that weekend in nearby Bristow, Virginia.
